Faculty Publication Grants
SERVICE LEARNING FACULTY PUBLICATION GRANT
Submission Deadline:The last day of every month (September through April).
*Awards will be made throughout until all allocated funds have been committed for the fiscal year.
APPLICATION: All forms must be submitted electronically through InfoReady here.
Requests will be reviewed within two weeks of application deadline. Grants will be awarded until funds are depleted.
General Information: The goal of these grants is to help service-learning instructors extend the reputation of the UA Service Learning Initiative through publication of their service learning activities in professional journals or other relevant outlets.
Publication Grant: Available funds can be awarded to projects to support publication in a variety of outlets. Any proposal can be awarded up to $1,500.
Applicant Eligibility: The applicant must be the lead instructor of a course that is being taught as service learning in the last two academic years at time of application. Additional co-applicants can be faculty, staff, or graduate teaching assistants of any title and rank. All applicants must be UA employees. Applicants’ eligibility will be confirmed through department head/chairs and/or college deans. Regardless of the number of named applicants, awards are limited to $1,500 per course.
Use of Funds
- Publication/page charges for a manuscript.
For funded applications, purchases must be initiated in Workday by the lead faculty member’s department.
